While introducing many of my Father's old principles as well as many of my new fresh idea's, while building the company. Focusing first on things that matter most. Providing the best service possible to our clients, building a customer base and relationships to mention a few.
Determining our growth will depend on our ability to serve peoples needs "customer's and clients alike". There's nothing more important than service--except people. Service will define our beginning, people will define our growth and together they will define our future.
My personal ambitions and goals. To build Premier Auctions into a different type of auction normally not seen in the auction industry. With so much of today's living going high tech and high speed, yet lacking social graces. Hopefully, we can somehow slow the pace down giving you a place where people can gather, reminisce about the good old days, or share the latest gossip, or a place just to meet old friends or make new ones. Just like in the ice cream parlors, parks, picnics or family social events back in "Norman Rockwell America". At the same time enjoy an evening our buying, selling antiques or to search for that special treasure you've been looking for.
We will do this by using 3 of America's most favorite past times entertainment, special events, exciting fun games of all kinds involving our audience to win prizes such as special gifts, money or bloopers during our auctions making the evening more enjoyable. Like I stated earlier we will conduct a style of auction like you've never seen before, unless you have been to one of my father's Wild Mega Extravaganza Sales before. "My father believes that entertaining, surprise's, giving his customers something in return and special memories that will last a life time and talked about for many years to come. Once you attend one of our auctions you will better understand what I'm talking about.
For those of you who may know my father you know what I mean, for those of you who may not, well let me take a moment and inform you. Known by many as Carl Mathews aka "Mr. Willoughby and Papa Genius named by myself" helped build several successful auction houses in his 35 yr career. Realizing early on success depended not only on good products and hard work, but also on how to keep people amused, interested and a desire to come back. These types of auctions is what helped make him successful along with hard work and dedication to his customers. You can visit our "Special Info. Link or "Game Links" to learn more about these special events to be held at Premier Auctions Galleries.
With those special events of Papas a lifetime of great memories were born and still talked about at many dinner tables and social gathering everywhere. Now I want to enjoy and experience those memories. With your support we can build and experience those memories together.
Now A Little About Myself. My name is Jesse C. Mathews II 29 yrs. Having grown up around antiques and auctions my entire life. It was part destiny and good fortune that caused me to be in the career I now love and enjoy so much. Knowing at the age of 12 I had found and interest in my Father's business. Soon after graduation from high school I entered into the fast world of corporate America. My first job was with Gould Inc. before they decided to close their door's and move to Japan. That's when I decided the corporate world was not for me anymore. While searching for a new job career all I found was major companies either downsizing or moving over seas. What I did notice was homes and businesses For Sale on every street I looked for a new job. "Then it clicked" Real Estate, I decide then to enter the Hondrous College of Real Estate after passing all the courses required by the State of Ohio, I started selling Real Estate in 2003. Mostly in Lake, Geauga and surrounding counties.
Then seeing more needs of clients to disperse of unwanted property, there was an opportunity in both the Real Estate and personal property side of the now slowing Real Estate market, to help supplement my income and help our clients at the same time. After going to several local Real Estate auctions and seeing the possibilities I registered and attended Max Walton's Ohio's School of Auctioneers. Having completed the courses and working with several local auction houses, realizing quickly I needed to learn both antiques and the auction industry more would be a great benefit to my new career. So I talked to my father about this and he said lets go for it. I felt working side by side with Dad would be like a death sentence?? I could not have been more right,, I mean wrong?? We teamed up and for the next few years I picked his brain, meeting and talking with while becoming friends with all his business associates, along with auctioning antiques all over the United States. Which turned out to be some of the greatest and enjoyable father and son experiences anyone could ask for.
From seeing and being involved in the best auctions conducted anywhere, to the long nights on the many road trips we took together and ever so memorable. Though at times could be fun or very arguementive for 100's of mile's "Like the time I would not apologize to his famous dog Hotrod after I yelled and pushed him off me, during a rain storm on the PA. Turnpike Papa said apologize or get out and walk. Guess what, it was cold and wet as I chose to walk, for the next 3 miles it was up and down hills, and through woods till finding shelter at McDonalds. Dad found me though. No I did not apologize, I did though buy Hotrod a kid's happy meal, and he was the happiest dog in the world then. I even auctioned him off while practicing the auctioneers chant, as we continued to travel down the highway. Dad even taught me to drive the big truck to send me alone I think?
After building much confidence and people relationships I called Paul Fusco of Fusco Auctions to see if he would be my sponsor. He replied "We would love to have you". Working with Paul his family and staff I bonded quickly with them. With two great mentors like Paul Fusco and my Father I learned so much about all phases of the business in a very short period of time. Soon I passed my state exams. Now a choice for good Real Estate firm to be identified with. That decisions was an easy one for me. The choice was the well known and recognized firm of Prudential Select Properties. Now with my portfolio completed I'm dedicated and ready to serve you 24/7 now or in the future the only way I know how The Premier Way.
Sincerely,
Jessie C. Mathews II
