The Marion Antique Shop was founded in 1974 by Frank McNamee, while a senior in high school and his mother, Mary McNamee. Over the past 36 years this family business has grown into one of the most respected antiques and appraisal businesses in New England. A few years later Frank’s father, Frank, Sr., joined the business, as well as Frank, Jr’s. wife, Diane.

The main shop and carriage house include over 5,000 square feet of prime retail space located prominently on Route 6 in Marion, Massachusetts, long considered the Gateway to Cape Cod. The appraisal business, office and internet auction salesroom and reference library are also located at this site. It is not unusual to see the parking lot filled to the brim on Thursday mornings when 20 to 30 dealers and collectors line up to get first pick of recent acquisitions. The shop has become famous for bringing fresh antiques to the market.
