Sales Account Manager UK :

      

Headquartered in New York City since 2002, LiveAuctioneers.com has grown to become the leading auction-related website for fine art, antiques and collectables. LiveAuctioneers.com now broadcasts thousands of auctions annually, presenting millions of auction lots to potential bidders on behalf of more than 1,050 of the world’s finest auction houses.

LiveAuctioneers.com is expanding rapidly in Europe and is seeking a motivated, highly organised Sales Account Manager for the UK. This position will be a “work from home” position with the long-term goal of building and securing LiveAuctioneers presence in the UK and Europe.

Duties include:  

  • Aggressively calling on auction-house prospects to pitch LiveAuctioneers’ services for real-time online bidding as well as its PR and marketing services.
  • Networking with industry leaders to identify other relevant contacts who may have an interest in online auction services
  • Providing customer support during UK business hours
  • Calling on existing and potential clients – must have driver’s licence and a valid passport. Travel within the UK may comprise 50% of the job.
  • Generating leads from:
    • Trade publications
    • Online publications
    • Contacts in the auction industry

Experience:

  • At least 3+ years of sales experience with a proven track record for closing deals, hitting targets and “cold-calling”
  • Experience with advertising sales to the antiques/auction trade a major plus
  • Knowledge of auction industry (required)
  • Knowledge of online bidding and marketing, including social media
  • Prior experience working from home preferred

  • Superior interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multi-task while paying close attention to detail
  • Experience with international clients a plus
  • Ability to speak and write in French, German, Italian or Spanish a plus
