Terms & Conditions
Occasionally eBay Live bid software or the Internet cannot keep up with the pace of our in-house auction. Placing a realistic absentee bid prior to the start of the auction will insure that you bid on those items you most desire. It is at the auctioneer's discretion to accept or reject an eBay Live bid. In addition the auctioneer may reopen a lot after the close of the eBay live bidding (usually because of a missed live audience bid), and may reject your bid even if you are designated as the winning bidder. This is a rare occurrence but because of the pace of bidding, it is sometimes unavoidable. By bidding via eBay Live, you agree that the lot may be awarded to another bidder at the sole discretion of Gulfcoast Coin Auction under these circumstances or any other reasonable circumstances. Internet bids are not available to us until the lot is opened on the floor. Frequently, the floor responds before the eBay bid is accepted. Therefore, floor bids are always considered first over identical eBay live bids. Due to high shipping/packing costs, there may be certain lots that will be available for Internet bidding only if the buyer can pick them up at our physical location in Fort Myers, Florida. Please make sure you read all Terms and Conditions before you bid, including the explanation of the buyer's premium.
This auction will be conducted on a live auction floor and over the Internet through eBay Live. If you choose to place an absentee bid, please learn how eBay Live absentee bidding works.
Due to the structure of liveBay auctions, the final bid shown on eBay after a lot ends is usually NOT the actual final high bid. Increments in the system are small in order to enable the clerk to come as close as possible to the bid the auctioneer is asking. However the next asking price the auctioneer is seeking is often an amount several times the increment locked into the system; i.e. the bid is at $100 and the auctioneer is looking for $125 as his next bid. If the increments are set at $5, the clerk must show a floor bid of $120 in order for the Internet bidder to make a bid of $125. If there is not another bid, the item sold at $100 but the final price online will show as $120. Please familiarize yourself with how these auctions work before bidding and remember the floor bid always takes place over an Internet bid
RETURN POLICY: If our description of an item is materially incorrect, we will accept return of the item. However, we MUST HAVE NOTIFICIATION OF RETURN WITHIN FIVE BUSINESS DAYS FROM RECEIPT OF ITEM BY BIDDER, as shown by UPS or USPS tracking data, and the item must be received by us within ten days. Otherwise, all items purchased at auction are final sale and no returns will be accepted under any other circumstances.
Bids: Floor bidders are given preference on bids of the same amount as Internet bidders; i.e. if you leave a bid of $25 and a floor bidder bids $25, item will go to floor bidder.
Questions: We try to answer all questions; however, we cannot answer emails sent to us during the auction.
STARTING TIME: Be aware that eBayLive shows the end of auction time by adding 12 hours to the start of each auction. Saturday auctions always start at 1 p.m. est, and Tuesday evening auctions start at 6:30 p.m. est. The auctioneer does approx. 100 lots per hour.
