Bennett's Ancient Artifacts & Auctions is proud to be offering the first of three sales to disperse the collection of the late author and Ohio collector Lar Hothem. Lar was well known from coast to coast for authoring over 35 artifact guide books and over 700 articles about artifacts before his un-timely passing Oct. 18th., 2006. Now, two years later, his collection is being offered back to the artifact collection community. Artifacts from several well known collection comprised a large part of Lar's collection including those of Norbert Bingman from S. Illinois, the Dutcher collection from the Buckeye Lake area of Ohio and the Hogue collection from Coshocton, Ohio. ONLY HOTHEM ARTIFACTS are being offered in all 3 of these sales! There are no other consignors - and all items are being sold at NO RESERVE! MANY of the artifacts offered in this sale have been pictured in one or more of Lar's various books and articles. Not all pictured items have been identified as such. Due to the volume of this collection, over 100 framed lots are being offered in each sale. EVERY item in the Lar Hothem Auctions will be featured in a limited edition book documenting the sale of this collection including all final bid amounts! The book will be available after the final auction in January.
