The Auction Consecutive and Responsive Bidding The auctioneer may open bidding on any lot by placing a bid on behalf of the seller. The auctioneer may further bid on behalf of the seller up to the amount of the reserve by placing consecutive bids or bids in response to other bidders. If a lot is not sold, the auctioneer will announce that it has been 'passed ', 'withdrawn', 'returned to owner'or 'bought in'. Collection Swarovski requires proof of identity on collection of a lot.
