Cedarburg Auction and Estate Sales LLC has been hired to liquidate the complete estate of Kathleen Kohl. Kathy Kohl was a renowned museum curator for several museums in the United States including: Villa Terrace in Milwaukee, The Stamford Museum and Nature Center, Inc. in Stamford, Connecticut, and The Birmingham Museum of Fine Arts in Birmingham, Alabama, plus others. Ms. Kohl had several degrees and was one of Wisconsin?s leading fine arts and 18th century furniture appraisers and dealers.
The list of Kathy Kohl's? accomplishments and successes could go on and on, but I should say this about her, ?I have never met a more generous person with her time and knowledge, who would go out of her way on many occasions to help us and others in the antique and fine arts business?. Kathy was also a major animal rights activist to the point of risking her own life to rescue strays. She has been greatly missed by me and many others.
The major portion of this auction is everything that was in her home : 18th Century New York and New England furniture, a large and varied Folk Art collection, quality paintings, prints and pictures, sterling, antique book collection, nautical hand made Folk Art boats, wonderful oriental ceramics and jade, quality costume and good jewelry, soft goods, lighting, and more. Kathy was also a direct heir of the Harley family, of the Harley Davidson fame. Up for auction is the original David Harley's 120HP Mercruiser Marine motorboat in good condition.
