The Saturday auction opens with a collection of fine sterling silver from an important local estate featuring a sumptuous mixed metal punch bowl by Gorham with a matching ladle. Having a beautiful spot-hammered texture and grape bunch handles, the 19th century bowl and ladle are a true testament to Gorham craftsmanship. Additionally by Gorham, an 1896 loving cup engraved with the names notable Detroiters, including Warren, Newberry, Moran, and Hendrie.
