From a similar period and in keeping with the sporting theme a superb piece of footballing history in a collection of football medals dating from 1893 to 1911 awarded to Alexander Leake, an English professional footballer who won fi ve caps for his country and made 407 appearances in the Football League playing as a half-back for a number of teams including Small Heath, Aston Villa and Burnley (Lot 300).
