Spectacular Antiques Auction

The Lifetime Collection of World Renowned Opera Singer, the late Frances Yeend, and her husband, pianist and vocal coach, James Benner Day 2 Frances Yeend & James Benner toured internationally throughout the 1940's through the 1960's and developed a love for Antique Decorative Arts (Asian, Spanish, African and more). While residing in Manhattan, they amassed a wonderful collection of artwork, rugs, furniture, Ironstone, Staffordshire, lithographs, decorative arts and thousands of books, many of which are autographed first editions. The couple relocated to Morgantown, West Virginia after Frances retired from the stage in 1966. She joined the faculty at West Virginia University as a Professor of Voice/Artist in Residence where she taught until her retirement in 1978. Frances and Jim continued to feed their love for antiques by filling their two story home in Morgantown with wonderful and noteworthy pieces. Ms. Yeend added to her collection until her death in 2008 at the age of 95. Joe R. Pyle Complete Auction & Realty Service has been commissioned by Jim Benner to liquidate their VAST COLLECTION and all personal belongings in a series of auctions to be held at the West Virginia Country Music Hall of Fame (Sagebrush Auditorium) in Fairmont, West Virginia
