SPORTS MEMORABILIA AND STAMPS

The STAMPS session starts at 11am CT on Sunday, June 18th. The SPORTS session starts at 5pm CT. The STAMPS session is highlighted by many USA 1850s stamped covers, some Patriotics, a Berlin Bear souvenir sheet on cover, classic Mexico, and Zeppelin covers from six countries. The Collection section has quite a few powerful USA collections ($10,000 and up), many face value postage lots, good Scott Specialy country collections for both British & Worldwide areas, and some good topical collections including a great selection of European Poster Stamps. The SPORTS auction has over 340 lots of cards & memorabilia, the majority baseball related - featuring a 1952 Topps Mickey Mantle rookie card graded GAI 3.5, plus a great selection of star cards and additional rookie cards from the 1950's. Most of the vintage cards are graded. The autograph section is chock full of signed vintage items fully authenticated by GAI. Highlights include a First Day Cover collection featuring single signed items of Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, Ty Cobb, Cy Young, Jackie Robinson, and many more, plus a marvelous autograph book with more that 145 vintage signatures like Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, Joe Medwick, Dizzy Dean and others.
