Terms and Conditions
Buyers
- All buyers must be registered before the sale
- Bidding is a commitment to buy
- Auctioneers decision is final
- Buyers premium is applicable on all lots at the rate of 12.5%+VAT for General Sales and 15%+VAT for all Specialist Sales
- All goods must be paid for before removal of items, no later than Thursday following the sale
- All goods to be removed by Thursday following the sale, or are subject to a £1+VAT per lot, per day storage charge
- All goods are the responsibility of the buyer once they have been paid for, even if they remain on the premises
- All bidders should satisfy themselves with the condition, contents and authenticity of lots before bidding- the catalogue descriptions are the opinion of the auctioneer and should not be taken as statement of fact. The auctioneer will not be responsible for inaccurate or un-authentic lots.
- Cars are parked at owners risk, and viewing is carried out at own risk
- All breakages must be paid for
- We will happily accept commission and phone bids, however we cannot be held responsible for missed/wrong bids - if there is a problem the auctioneers decision is final
- If leaving commission bids, it is your responsibility to contact us within 3 days to find out if you were successful
- Each lot shall be the buyer-s sole risk from the fall of the hammer and shall be sold with any faults and imperfections, the auctioneers NOT being responsible for the correct description or authenticity of any lot, and making no warranty whatsoever. The buyer is deemed to have inspected the lots and satisfied him or herself as to their condition and authenticity
- Online bidders- if payment has not been made by Wednesday following the sale, and you have made no contact with us, we reserve the right incurr added charges for storage onto your invoice
- Whilst every effort is made to package items safely, the auctioneers cannot be held responsible for any damages that occur in transit. We will offer a range of postage options- including insured, but all lots are the responsibility of the buyer once the hammer falls

Artist Re-Sale Rights
- Any lots that fit into this category will be appropriately marked in the catalogue and are subject by law to a further 4%+VAT charge

Payment
- Payment is accepted in the form of debit and credit card (credit card carries a surcharge of 2%+VAT, AMEX a surcharge of 3%+VAT)
Sellers
- General Sale charges are 12.5%+VAT plus £2+VAT lot fee (payable on ALL sold and unsold lots) and Specialist Sales carry an extra £1+VAT photograph and online bidding fee
- All electrical items must be PAT tested, there is a £3+VAT charge for this
- Any singular item over £5000 is subject to a 1%+VAT insurance fee
- Items will be entered into a sale twice, if after this they remain unsold it is the sellers responsibility to collect them and pay the appropriate lot fees. It may be possible that we can dispose of them for you, however you must get in touch with us to arrange this and note that there may be a disposal charge. If no contact is made the auctioneer retains the right to charge storage at £1+VAT per item, per day
- Collection and delivery rate is £40+VAT per hour
- Payment will be made via BACS payment, 14 days after the sale for General Sales and 21 days after for Specialist Sales
- Any items withdrawn from the sale after they have been catalogued or advertised will be charged the relevant commission (12.5%+VAT or 15%+VAT) on the mid-estimate of the lot
