Children’s book illustrator Tasha Tudor On Oct. 4, Quinn’s & Waverly held an auction of children’s books, with 58 items selling online. A collection of 28 charming original watercolors by children’s book illustrator Tasha Tudor from the book Give Us This Day: The Lord’s Prayer, was estimated at $50,000-$65,000, but sold to a LiveAuctioneers bidder for $73,200


Dallas Auction Gallery Estimates were blown away on dozens of lots in Dallas Auction Gallery’s Oct. 3 sale of antiques, fine art and accessories. An 8-inch Qianlong (Qing Dynasty, 1644-1911) cloisonné incense burner fashioned as a boy seated on the back of a three-legged toad was expected to fetch $2,000-$4,000. Instead, the appealing figural object leaped across the finish line at $22,050, straight into the hands of a LiveAuctioneers bidder.

Craftsman Auctions Craftsman Auctions sold 142 lots through LiveAuctioneers on Sept. 29 and 30. An 18-inch Dirk Van Erp hammered copper and mica table lamp in the classic 4-panel style on trumpet-shape base was purchased online for an above-estimate price of $14,700.
