Bloomsbury Auctions’ June 10 sale in London was strictly for the birds, and quite happily so. A distinguished collection of ornithological prints produced some stellar highlights, such as J.T. Bowen's 8-volume first octavo edition of Audubon’s The Birds of America. Estimated at $1,000-2,000, the ovoid vases with dragon motif pulled in a staggering $22,420, with a LiveAuctioneers bidder prevailing.
