Autographs
Bunker Hill Monument Fund Raising

(BUNKER HILL MONUMENT) & EDWARD EVERETT, American Orator and Statesman.
Autograph Letter Signed, “E. Everett” in brown ink on fine-laid paper, April 16, 1827, Boston, MA, 9.5” x 7”, Fine. Written to an unnamed recipient, Everett discusses raising money for the Revolutionary War monument to be erected on Bunker Hill: “... I have the pleasure to inform you that contributions are constantly coming in, in this place. The fund at present exceeds $9000... I consider you entitled to the credit of it all, were it ten times as much...” Age-toned with minor wax remnants in center, folds, minor edge splits; does not take away from the clear and detailed scrip of Everett. Excellent content!
