J. PAUL GETTY, American Business Executive, Oil Billionaire and Philanthropist.
Check Signed, “J. Paul Getty”, in blue ink, dated June 24, 1943, Los Angeles, CA, 3.25” x 8.25”, with some ink from stamp at left edge, Choice Extremely Fine. The check is made out to his wife, “Mrs. J. Paul Getty”, for $13.63, and her signed endorsement appears on the reverse side. Stamped and perforated cancellations do not affect Getty’s bold signature. At the time of his death, J. Paul Getty was the richest man in the world.
