Chinese lacquered cabinet on stand, top with two doors with fine gilt decoration with landscapes with harbor and figures in boats with distant mountains, sides with similar decoration, varying black and deep red lacquer, elaborate stepped interior with pillars, cabinets, cubbyholes and 22 drawers, all interior drawer fronts and surfaces with elaborate gilt decoration, larger drawers dovetailed, some drawers and backs of sliding panels retain original paper labels with numbers, two brass handles mounted on sides, later stretcher base with openwork frieze, platform stretcher with six turned legs and ball feet, top with extensive separations, blisters, flaking, repainted areas, 71 x 42-1/2 x 21" (Hickory Museum of Art)
