Unusual Rookwood vase, huge folded, footed and handled form covered in a good Limoges glaze with decoration of birds among reeds, probably executed by Matt Daly or A.R. Valentien, produced in 1884, #45, 16"w x 7"h, design derived from Emile Gallé's art pottery which was made in Nancy, France in the late 1800s, similar examples were shown at the Philadelphia Exposition of 1876
