Chinese carved ink stone contained in a polished wood case. The ink stone contains a depresses circular area where the ink sticks would be ground into ink. The outer edges of the stone are carved with images of dragons and objects associate with wisdom and scholarship; these objects include, scrolls, bundled papers, gourds, fans, and bamboo. The stone fits inside of a specially carved polished wood case. Measures 6 3/4" X 10 1/2". Shipping within the continental US is $45 plus Required insurance.
