This lot contains a worldwide CD Sales Display for the band Metallica. The display celebrates "Wherever I May Roam" concert itinerary from 1991 through 1993, touring 34 countries. Flags of each of those countries line both sides of the display case and labeled "gold," "silver" or "platinum." (Both the U.S. and Canada boasted 7X platinum sales.) A center decal states: 'Presented to Mr. Brad Laughlin in appreciation for you help in making Metallica the biggest rock album of the '90s … or something like that!" and signed by all four band members - Lars Ulrich, James Hetfield, Kirk Hammett and Jason Newsted. Twelve mounted CDs represent $12 million in sales. Very good condition. It measures 34 ½"W x 42 ¼"L. Presented in association with JulienEntertainment.com
