This portrait of Johnny Carson, commissioned by TV Guide, appeared on their cover in 1974. The piece was then presented to Mr. Carson who eventually gave it to his parents. The present owner purchased the painting from Butterfield & Butterfield. The painting is oil and pencil on canvas board. The artist is Bernie Fuchs, although the portrait is unsigned. This one-of-a-kind piece also comes with the July, 1974 issue of T.V. Guide showing the painting on the cover. The overall size is 24 ½ in. W x 30 in. H.
