Description
The Most Dangerous Game (RKO, 1932). Half Sheet (22" X 28").
Here it is - one of the rarest and most desirable half sheets from the 1930s horror genre. This is the only known existing style of this half sheet from RKO's Most Dangerous Game. Shipwrecked on a remote island, a group of innocent survivors are imprisoned and forced to become human prey by a deranged big-game hunter, tired of "ordinary" prey. Based on Richard Connell's famous story, the film was shot on the same sets and produced by the same people (Willis O'Brien and Ernest B. Schoedsack) as 1933s King Kong. Picturing the evil Count Zaroff himself (Leslie Banks), and his two helpless victims - Fay Wray and Joel McCrea, this is a truly amazing poster! Original paper from this elusive title has always been hard to find, and Heritage is delighted to be offering this half sheet for auction for the first time. Prior to restoration, it had pinholes into the interior on the right side, corner and bottom border chips, small tears on the left and right borders, and a crease on the right side. Rolled, Fine+.
