Funny Girl Screen Worn Hat

This flamboyant hat is from the 1968 film FUNNY GIRL, starring Barbra Streisand as Fanny Brice. The wide-brimmed hat was worn by an extra in the extravagant Follies 'Bride' dance number. It measures 24 inches in diameter with a flat top decorated with masses of off-white ostrich feathers and large clear sequins. The top of the hat is flat with a fitted headpiece on the underside. Attached is an 8-foot tulle scarf with clear sequins. An image showing the piece in use in the film also comes with the lot. This costume is from the collection of Debbie Reynolds and comes with a certificate of authenticity signed by Ms. Reynolds. Proceeds from this sale go to benefit The Hollywood Motion Picture Museum.
