Tom Hanks wore this Army uniform in the 1994 film "Forrest Gump". The lot has five pieces: a shirt, pants, jacket, tie and hat. The shirt is a long sleeved khaki shirt with a label from The Motion Picture Costume Company and the name Tom Hanks and F. Gump typed on the label. The size is 42 in. in the chest with a 24 in. sleeve length. The jacket is dark green wool and has a plastic nametag with the name Gump over the right breast pocket and medals on the left side. The sleeves are 25 in. in length, the chest is 40 in. and the length down the back seam of the jacket is 31 in. The pants are a dark green and with a label from The Motion Picture Costume Company and the name Tom Hanks and F. Gump typed on the label. The waist is 32 in., with a 32 in. inseam. The green marine's hat has a brass insignia on the front and is a size 7-3/8. A black tie completes the uniform. Forrest joins the Marines and is sent to Viet Nam. He saves his platoon, becomes a hero, and receives a medal of honor at the White House. All sizes are approximate. A picture of Forrest wearing the uniform is included.
