Signer of Declaration of Independence. DS, "Wm Floyd", 1p, May 4, 1805, 8"X4 1/2", receipt. "...Recd of John Gifford the sum of one hundred and Eight Dollars in full for Rent to the first of may Instant on a Lease given him by Land on Lot No 9 Fondas patent..." Floyd wrote the words "full for Rent to the" in the text. Fold repairs on verso, with some pinholes and staining at same. Overall VG.
