Martin Mugar (MA), Untitled (Artist's Studio)
oil on canvas, signed at lower right "Mugar," painted in the early 1980s while teaching at UNC-Greensboro, housed in a karated gold leaf floater frame.
DOA 50 x 66 in.
Mugar received his BA and MFA from Yale University. He held a position as assistant professor of art at UNC-Greensboro from 1980 through 1986. He has since exhibited widely on the East Coast and held several prominent teaching posts. His work is in numerous public and private collections including the Weatherspoon Museum in Greensboro and the Boston Public Library.
