Red, white, and blue printed silk flag banner, 25.5 x 28 in., with legend in brown ink: Harrison and Reform, printed between red stripes. Motifs of large ball, log cabin, and the United States Capitol. Ball has legend in brown ink: Many Times Improve as On We Move/ To Guide the Ship We'll Try Old Tip/ Tippecanoe and Tyler/ Old Alleghany/ Don't Stop This Ball/ Heart and Soul Is Ball We Roll. See Collins, Threads of History, fig. 143. Only the third known example of this rare political textile.
Expected folds in flag banner; few small holes, including some along bottom edge of canton, and a small hole below the second R in Harrison.
