Description

Well carved scrimshaw dated 1815 to side, signaling the end of the Napoleonic wars (1803 - 1815). "Napoleon" Bonaparte is depicted on one side and an intricately defined ship battle scene of three mates preparing a cannon for an attack on an opposing ship. Measures: 6 ¼" Height x 2 ½" Diameter (16 cm x 6.35 cm).
