Chinese Stone Buddha

Antique stone panel, China, with a rectangular base decorated with the head of a mythical beast flanked by two seated Bodhisattvas, the central panel carved with a seated Buddha at the center and surrounded by standing Bodhisattvas, and the semi-circular top with a Buddha in meditative pose; carved along the sides are seated Buddhas in arched niches, with the back incised with a seated Buddha, 31"h x 15"w x 5"l.
