A late Victorian 18ct gold diamond locket, circa 1870. The old-cut diamond star inset to the plain locket with plain surmount. Estimated total diamond weight 0.70ct. Stamped 18. Length 6cms. Weight 28.3gms.
The lot is in good overall condition with light scratches and very small dents in keeping with general wear. The front of the locket has significant discolouration/tarnish. The diamonds appear bright and well matched, the diamonds setting prevents accurate colour/clarity gradings. The rings that secure the glass may be replacements.
