Santee Reservation Beaded Hide Moccasins,
ca 1890 - 1930, with thread-sewn beadwork in colors of iridescent purple, maroon, blue, and pink in a stylized floral motif on the vamps. Enlarged design continues around the cuff; artistic interest is created with a shamrock filled with salt and pepper beadwork, a rare example; 9.5" long.
Condition is good; some beads are missing on heels and leather is slightly soiled.
