A pair of enameled brooches from Roman Britain and a Luristan decorative element. The two plate brooches, 2nd - 3rd Century AD, are intact with traces of enamel remaining, one with a lovely star motif around a central pellet, L: 33mm & 54mm; the Luristan decorative element, c. 1000 - 800 BC, from an elaborate horse bit, L: 1 3/4" (4.4 cm). Ex Thomas Cotterill collection, UK, acquired in the 19th Century.
