"El Segundo", 22 x 28 RYGH WESTBY, a traditional oil painter of the contemporary Plains cowboy, was born in 1949 in Oak Park, Illinois, but has resided in Wyoming and Arizona since 1977. An advocate of the "Open Range" style, Rygh studied art in Chicago, but is largely self taught. He has been written up in "Art West" and exhibited at galleries throughout the west along with numerous accolades throughout the western world.
