Chinese carved Mughal style pale celadon jade teapot, body relief carved with foliate decoration, carved bird spout and dragon top. Fitted hardwood stand with pierced carving of floral buds. 4 1/2" H x 5 3/4" L. Provenance: Purchased in China by consignor's grandparents in the early 20th century.
Condition reportSome shallow chips/losses to decoration. Natural internal vertical fissure line extending around body. No separation noted.
