W. M. PRIOR,(1806-1873) O/C, VIEW OF MT. VERNON & CRYPT, in old gilt frame. Retains canvas stamp on back "Painting Garret, #36 Trenton St., East Boston, W.M. Prior. Sight size 19" x 26.5" Frame 22.75" x 30" A fabulous example of this important landmark by one of America's most well regarded folk artists. Provenance: The estate of Gladys, Wiggen's Family Farm, Arlington, MA. The painting was found in the attic.

Overall excellent, original unrestored, not lined. Could benefit from a cleaning. Frame is old but in poor condition.
