A slightly over-sized pair of hollow, preening decoys with carved wings and tails. This pair shows the talented southern New Jersey carver at the top of his craft. The drake exhibits superb comb-painted detail and the hen has finely delineated painted feathers. Each is signed and dated by the maker and retains a stamped "G Strunk" weight on the bottom. This is one of the finest Strunk pairs ever offered for sale.
