Rare Robin Snipe
Mason Decoy Factory (1896-1924)
Detroit, MI, c. 1910
A red knot or, as they were historically known, a "robin snipe" shorebird decoy in rare fall-winter plumage. The decoy, in Mason's finest "A-1" grade, displays swirled paint, glass eyes, an iron bill and three small shot holes.
Excellent original paint with minor gunning wear.
