Spinach Jadeite Chinese Bowls
Chinese, executed in an 18th century style. A pair of spinach colored jadeite bowls, highly polished and translucent. Each has a wide flat rim with ruyi borders, the exterior sides with lotus flowers surrounded by foliage carved in relief. Both bowls have two handles carved in the shape of a flower supporting loose rings, each having an incised six-character Qianlong mark on the bottom. Each on carved compound wooden stands; lg. 10.75 in. (26.5 cm), ht. 2.75 in. (6 cm) (without stands).
