Gouache and watercolor depicting an abstract female nude in a crouching full-length pose, supporting a lintel inscribed "Liberté". Inscribed and signed on bottom margin "Au docteur Alexandre / Modigliani". Reverse bears collector's rubber stamp, "Darius Talyarken /31 Pont Street / London S. W. 1. / England". Water staining throughout, light foxing at upper left, chipping along left edge, and a small area of margin loss at bottom right. Bears a horizontal fold in top margin, an affixed tab (1 3/8" x 3/4"), with puckering and creases in margins. Image: 11.5" x 8", Sheet: 17" x 11".
