Vercasson, Paris One of Cappiello's most evocative designs, we are brought straight to a brisk day by the seashore, where an oyster merchant merrily shucks the offerings of Caisse Simon for a well-dressed couple. As the wind rolls off the beach, the lady closes her eyes before slurping down the cool, salty meat. It is the instant before that moment that Cappiello chooses to portray -- we know exactly what she is about to taste, the noise as the woman cuts open another oyster for the gentleman, the fresh, sandy smell of the ocean. It far from glamorous, but truly one of the most pleasurable, and simple, experiences in life.
