A colorful and innovative Abstract Expressionism depiction of a woman recumbent on deep blue recamier against the backdrop of a brown floor and gold wall creating an illusion of depth with a clearly representational focus. Titled on verso "A Young Woman", dated 1958 and signed front, lower right corner Milton Avery. Attributed to Milton Avery. Measures 18" Height x 24" Width + 2" wood frame (46.2 cm x 65.5 cm + 5.5 cm).
