18th C GEORGIAN RED & GILT JAPANNED LONGCASE CLOCK

English period tall case clock dating between1800-1820, Japanned with red lacquer, hand painted gilt ornamentation and Asian genre scenes in relief. The pediment is crowned with 3 turnip carved finials and the brass face reveals maker George Clapham at Whitton. Eight day striking with original lead weights. Measures: 97" Heights x 21" Width x 10" Depth (246.38 cm x 53.34 cm x 25.4 cm).
