Hand carved Chinese ivory elephant tusk. Tusk is fully relief carved depicting minstrels to one side playing instruments. To the other side is maidens presenting gifts with sage. Also in the scene is dragon, trees, deer, stork and flowers. Holds Ming Dynasty Chenghua reign mark to base. Includes fitted wooden base. Measures 27" length x 6" height + 4" base height. (68.5cm x 15.2cm x 10.1cm). Total weight of 2064 grams including base.
