Pair of antique Chinese hand carved Ivory Emperor and Empress figures. Each is depicted seated on throne in royal robe. The Empress is holding Ruyi Scepter in right hand with relief carved Phoenix robe and throne. The Emperor shown clutching his imperial beaded necklace and wearing dragon robe with dragon throne. 19th century. Both signed to bottom. Each figure measures approximately 9 1/2" height x 5 1/2" width + 2 1/4" base height (24.1cm x 13.9cm + 5.7cm). Total ivory weight of 3085 grams.
