Fully relief carved busy village scene depicting pagodas, villagers, people on horses & sedan chairs, and trees enclosed in a figural clam shell design. Top of shell depicts numerous fishermen and boats. 19th/20th century. Includes fitted wooden stand. Measures 3" height x 7" length x 3 1/2" depth + 1 1/2" height (7.6cm x 17.8cm x 8.9cm + 1 1/2" base). Weighs 555 grams (NOT including stand).
