ANTIQUE HAND CARVED IVORY ELEPHANT

Buddhist symbol of mental strength, carved by hand in ivory, this white elephant represents strength and power, directing ones wishes and destroying all obstacles in the way. Hand sculpted, with upward trunk and full tusks, distinct incised ribs, skin and toes of feet, all indicative of the carvings of the 1800's. Resting on teak stand. Measures: 2" height x 3 ¾" length + ¾" x 4" stand (5.5cm x 9.9cm + 2.4cm x 10.6cm). Total weight of 104 grams.
