Beautifully crafted muzzle load long rifle with a Josh Golcher percussion lock. Inscribed 'Chas. Cope, Atalissa Iowa' on the butt as well as '1840' and 'Josh Golcher' on the name plate. Inside the stock compartment is a stamping of 'C.W. Vet 61-65.' With a 41.5 in. octagonal barrel with wood frame and stock plus extensive metal work throughout.

Please note, this gun is grouped among Antique Pre-December 31, 1898 Produced Firearms, not subject to Federal Gun Laws. An impressive example that has survived very well, in good overall original condition. Appears to be an authentic example.
