Marlin Ballards Patent Rifle 1861

OFFERED WITHOUT RESERVE

Invented during the Civil War and produced subsequently for the civilian trade. This variation produced between 1875 and 1881. Octagonal barrel measures 26.5 in. long with the left side of the metal frame featuring the company and address engraved. Crescent metal butt on the stock. Serial number 8998.

Please note, this gun is grouped among Antique Pre-December 31, 1898 Produced Firearms, not subject to Federal Gun Laws. Appears to be in older original condition with the metal showing a patina however the wood is quite presentable.
