Third-quarter 19th century. Top veneered with well matched panels of burl wood, within a double-molded serpentine edge, with a conforming frieze, raised on a massive serpentine outlined Bombay pedestal veneered in burl to match the top, also carved with scrolls, resting upon a shaped plinth.
