OFFERED WITHOUT RESERVE

An exceptional and rare gilded various wood brass inset and marble antique front and back bar. In fully restored and usable condition, this piece has been one of the social focal points in the Milhous Collection. Back bar features three mirrored panels flanked by glass cabinets on each side and measures 19.5 in. deep. It is believed to have been special order manufactured by Brunswick Bulk Calendar Company. Cabinets have beautiful etched glass doors with a star pattern on each, while their interiors have 1/4 in. thick glass shelves. Other features along the back bar include a set of eight drawers, three sliding glass doors for storage as well as four front door opening cabinets. Illumination is provided by five amber glass canopy lights, while the carved wood sections and accents are finished in gilt and black paint. Front bar section measures 25 in. deep through the bulk of it, with the right side finishing at 45 in. while the left finishes at 35 in. Carved gilt wood accents across the face, while the base-plate is a 1/2 in. green marble and is set off by the separate brass foot rail, which also accompanies the bar in its sale. For practicality, the bar has been updated to accommodate two large coolers, three separate sinks and soaking/washing sections as well as a completely refinished top and lip. Despite its imposing size, the bar remains a very tasteful piece, and if given the ample space, it would continue to be the highlight of any significant collection. Overall in very presentable condition. However, as one would expect and anticipate with a bar that has been used extensively for entertaining and social events, it shows the wear commensurate with such use. Nevertheless, it was clearly well restored as its current condition is a testament to how it has held up from such use.
